Top New Perth Suburbs Near Rivers, Lakes and Wetlands
Building your new home near a river, lake or wetland in Perth can give many relaxing benefits. Depending on the size and shire rules tied to the lake or river, you can do many activities on the water – from swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and maybe even jumping off a jetty. Perhaps you envision yourself reading a book on the shoreline, or awakening to the sound of water birds, either way, living by the water to some (without the annoyance of beach wind and sand) is a retirement dream.
Despite the notion that living near the city is more fun and convenient, living near water and parks can be just as satisfactory, making that extra drive worthwhile.
